China has successfully implemented the use of unmanned platforms for remote development of offshore heavy oil fields for the first time.

On May 3rd, Platform 11-12 of CNOOC Shenzhen Branch in Panyu successfully started production in the eastern South China Sea. This is the first time China has applied unmanned platform for remote development of offshore heavy oil fields. It has made new breakthroughs in typhoon production mode, remote restart, complex crude oil processing, and other aspects, further enhancing the standardization and intelligence level of China's marine oil and gas equipment design and construction.
