Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon Scenic Area launches a series of consumption promotion measures.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Nyingchi City, in collaboration with New Yi Tourism Company, has launched a series of measures to promote consumption, stimulate the vitality of the tourism market through benefiting the people, upgrading services, and integrating culture and tourism. Firstly, they have implemented a policy of benefiting the people with ticket prices. The Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon scenic area has launched a limited-time special offer, reducing the standard adult ticket price from 150 yuan to 110 yuan, while also implementing a "price compensation for official channels" commitment, establishing a price protection mechanism. The activities accurately cover the "May Day" golden week in 2025 and the following two weeks of the peak tourist season. Secondly, they have strengthened the service guarantee system. Implementing a holiday reservation entry system to achieve scientific control of customer flow, implementing a quick entry system for identity card verification to improve passage efficiency, and deploying full-time safety supervisors to enhance tour safety. Thirdly, they are deepening the integration of culture and tourism brands. With "a once-in-sixty-years invitation to the snowy plateau" as the core, they are creating experience projects such as the world's deepest canyon trekking experience, peach blossom island blessings, and CCTV-style viewing platforms, combined with Tibetan medicine hot springs and the plateau's only hot air balloon, deeply integrating natural landscapes with Tibetan characteristics. This measure is expected to drive an increase in visitor flow in the scenic area of more than 10% year-on-year, forming a new pattern of tourism consumption "not in the off-season".
