3 m ago
Swissquote Bank analyst Ipek Ozkardeskaya said that Microsoft's data for the third quarter showed a strong demand for artificial intelligence despite concerns about oversupply. Microsoft's Azure cloud computing business saw revenue increase by 35% year-on-year for the quarter ending in March, exceeding analysts' expectations of 31% growth. Ozkardeskaya said that the strong growth in the company's cloud business confirms that the demand for artificial intelligence remains solid.

After the court ruling, Apple's stock price fell in pre-market trading.

During Thursday's pre-market trading session, Apple's stock price showed a slight downward trend. Previously, a federal judge in the United States ruled that Apple's restrictions on its App Store violated an antitrust ruling. Apple's stock rose 0.6% to $212.50 at the close on Wednesday, but dropped 1.4% to $209.45 during pre-market trading on Thursday. The judge ordered Apple to allow developers to direct users to other payment methods for services or subscriptions provided in the App Store. The judge also referred the case to federal prosecutors for a criminal contempt investigation. Apple stated that it will comply with the order but does not agree with the court's ruling and plans to appeal.
