In April, the average price of newly built residential properties in 100 cities increased compared to the previous month and the same period last year.

According to the latest data from the China Real Estate Research Institute, in April, the average price of new residential buildings in 100 cities was 16,764 RMB per square meter. Due to the entry of high-quality improvement projects in some cities, there was a structural increase of 0.14% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 2.50%. As for the second-hand housing market, the core cities maintained a certain level of activity, but with a high number of listings, "trading price for volume" remains the mainstream. In April, the average price of second-hand residential buildings in 100 cities was 13,892 RMB per square meter, a decrease of 0.69% month-on-month and a decrease of 7.23% year-on-year.
