The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau issued a blue alert for heavy rain at 16:19 on May 1st: It is expected that from the night of the 1st to the night of the 3rd, there will be heavy rain in parts of the Ili River Valley, Bozhou, Tacheng, southern Karamay, Shihezi, Urumqi, Changji, mountainous areas of Aksu, northern mountainous areas of Bazhou, and Hami. Local areas in the Ili River Valley may experience heavy rain, with a high possibility of short-duration heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, hail, and other severe convective weather, leading to a high risk of geological disasters such as flash floods, mudslides, and landslides. A yellow alert for sandstorms was issued at 16:11 on the 1st: It is expected that from daytime on the 2nd to the night of the 3rd, some areas of Kashgar, Kezhou, Hotan, Aksu, Bazhou, Turpan, and Hami will experience sandstorms or blowing sand, so please strengthen precautions. A blue alert for strong winds was issued at 16:00 on the 1st: It is expected that from daytime on the 2nd to the night of the 3rd, there will be around 6th grade northwest winds in most of northern Xinjiang, eastern Xinjiang, and western southern Xinjiang, around 6th grade east winds in eastern southern Xinjiang, with gusts reaching 9-10 levels; mountain passes could experience winds of 11-12 levels, with gusts of 13-14 levels.
