Trump tariffs hit US toy industry, industry survey shows nearly half of companies warn of bankruptcy risks.

A survey by the American Toy Association of more than 400 companies shows that nearly half of the surveyed companies have stated that the tariffs imposed by President Trump starting in April will lead to bankruptcy within months. The association's data shows that for American toy retailers who cannot afford higher costs, they either try to pass on the increased costs to consumers or simply stop production, which could jeopardize the crucial holiday shopping season.
