Yum China's total revenue in the first quarter increased by 1% year-on-year to $3 billion.
On April 30, Yum China announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that in the first quarter of 2025, total revenue increased by 1% year-on-year to 3 billion US dollars; a net increase of 247 stores, of which a net increase of 62 franchise stores, accounting for 25%; diluted earnings per share increased by 8% year-on-year to 0.77 US dollars, reaching a new high for the first quarter; the total number of members of KFC and Pizza Hut exceeded 540 million, an increase of 12% from last year.
In terms of performance outlook, for the 2025 fiscal year, the company expects a net increase of approximately 1600 to 1800 stores, with capital expenditure between 700 million to 800 million US dollars. The company expects that in the coming years, the proportion of franchise stores in the net addition of KFC and Pizza Hut stores will gradually increase to 40%-50% and 20%-30%, respectively.
