Hong Kong stock anomaly | Chinese bank stocks lead the decline in the morning session, with China Merchants Bank (03968.HK) dropping nearly 6% and Postal Savings Bank of China (01658.HK) falling over 5%.

According to the Securities Times app, domestic bank stocks were among the top decliners. As of the time of reporting, China Merchants Bank (03968.HK) fell by 5.73% to 41.95 Hong Kong dollars; Postal Savings Bank of China (01658) fell by 5.15% to 4.6 Hong Kong dollars; Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (01398) fell by 4.2% to 5.25 Hong Kong dollars; China Construction Bank (00939) fell by 3.78% to 6.321 Hong Kong dollars; and Bank of China (03988) fell by 2.75% to 4.24 Hong Kong dollars.
