On Tuesday (April 29th), New York spot gold fell by 0.76% to $3319.25 per ounce at the close, almost the whole day in a downtrend. In early Asia-Pacific trading, there was a weak rebound before falling back. The overall trading range was between $3343.97 and $3299.76. Since rising to $3500.10 on April 22nd, which was a historical high, gold has been trading at a high level. COMEX gold futures fell by 0.52% to $3330.20 per ounce. After rising to $3509.90 on April 22nd, the futures have been trading below $3400. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index fell by 1.28% to 185.38 points. Most component stocks fell, with Kirkland Lake Gold, Eldorado Gold, and McEwen Mining showing the worst performance, down by 2.98% to 2.3%. Only First Majestic Silver rose by 0.16% and B2Gold rose by 0.32%.
