According to reports from both the New York Daily News and the Daily Beast websites on the 28th, US President Trump recently gave an interview to a journalist from The Atlantic magazine. The reporter claimed that they were able to secure the interview because Trump had "accidentally dialed" their phone number in the middle of the night. On the morning of April 28th, local time, during an interview with the United States' Microsoft-National Broadcasting Company's "Morning Joe" program, The Atlantic journalist Ashley Parker was asked about a cover story published by the magazine based on last week's interview with Trump. Parker said that they had spoken with Trump twice over the phone, "actually, one time the president 'accidentally dialed' at 1:28 am." It was reported that the first phone conversation took place at the end of March when a journalist from The Atlantic called Trump. Despite not knowing who was calling, Trump answered the phone. A few weeks later, the journalist received a call from Trump that was described as an "accidental dial." The magazine's reporter was eventually allowed to interview Trump face-to-face on April 24th. However, they refused to reveal how they initially obtained the president's phone number.
