The State Council Food Safety Office issued a notice, requiring local food safety offices to pay high attention to the supervision of food production, sales, and catering services during the Labor Day and Dragon Boat Festival holidays, effectively ensuring food safety and ensuring that the people have a happy and peaceful holiday. The notice requires local authorities to increase supervision and inspection of bulk food production enterprises such as rice, flour, oil, meat, eggs, and dairy products, as well as large food sales chain enterprises, food wholesale enterprises, and supermarkets. Focus on chain catering enterprises, collective meal distribution enterprises, central kitchens, school canteens, designated reception units for tourism, farmhouse inns, agricultural wholesale markets, etc., focus on key locations such as tourist attractions, commercial areas, stations, ports, and highway service areas, and focus on key formats such as online catering, strengthen food safety risk assessment and comprehensive management in catering services, and strictly prevent food safety accidents. At the same time, organize special random checks on hot-selling holiday foods such as zongzi, and promptly conduct verification and disposal according to the requirements for any substandard food found in the checks, effectively prevent and control food safety risks.
