From March 1st to March 31st, 2025, a total of 43,799 cases of 23 statutory infectious diseases were reported in Shandong Province, with 33 deaths. There were no reported cases or deaths of class A infectious diseases. Among the 28 class B infectious diseases, 11 diseases including atypical pneumonia, poliomyelitis, human infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza, rabies, epidemic encephalitis B, anthrax, diphtheria, neonatal tetanus, leptospirosis, schistosomiasis, and human infection with H7N9 avian influenza had no reported cases or deaths. The remaining 17 infectious diseases had a total of 18,050 reported cases and 33 deaths. The top three diseases in terms of reported cases were viral hepatitis, novel coronavirus infection, and syphilis.
