The Republican Party will weaken the Federal Trade Commission's antitrust regulatory powers.

According to the text of a bill that will soon be released by the House Judiciary Committee, all antitrust actions and staff of the Federal Trade Commission will be transferred to the Department of Justice. This will weaken the FTC's key regulatory power.
