On April 28, it was learned from Sinopec that the construction project of 30,000 tons/year large tow carbon fiber in Erdos City, Inner Mongolia, a subsidiary of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical, officially started construction. The project will rely on Shanghai Petrochemical's proprietary technology for large tow carbon fiber and the abundant green electricity resources in Inner Mongolia to build 10 more energy-efficient carbon fiber production lines, which are expected to be completed and put into operation by 2027. After production, it will provide large tow carbon fiber materials for wind power, energy storage, low altitude industries, and other fields, providing key material support for the new energy industry and promoting the upgrading and development of China's new materials industry.
