Sun Yuhua: Hong Kong revises talent list

The Secretary for Labour and Welfare of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Dr. Law Donald Bloxham, attended the opening ceremony of the 2025 Hong Kong International Talent Career Expo this morning and told the media that the government's talent policy can be summarized in three groups of words - attracting talent, retaining talent, and utilizing talent. The SAR government has recently revised its talent list, and the purpose of updating the list is to focus on the development of the "Eight Centres" in Hong Kong. The government has identified industries where talent shortages are more pronounced and has included them in the list. The list now covers 60 different professions, and it is hoped that companies will make good use of the talent list and other tools for talent acquisition.
