Shanghai Pudong initiates the construction of pilot cities for the scale application of BeiDou, with six core "experimental fields".

On April 26th, it was learned from the "Pudong New Area Satellite Internet Industry Ecological Conference" that Shanghai Pudong New Area has fully launched the construction of pilot cities for large-scale application of Beidou. At the same time, Pudong New Area released the Beidou large-scale application scenarios, covering key areas such as shared travel, unmanned equipment, automobiles, ships, and large aircraft. Currently, the new area has formed a three-dimensional development pattern of "industry foundation, large-scale application, and policy support". Through the construction of the "six major Beidou core test fields", it promotes the Beidou industry to leap from technological research and development to large-scale application. In the future, Pudong will focus on the national satellite Internet system innovation advantages, rely on the integrated circuit, artificial intelligence, and high-end equipment industry base, and focus on the development of system operation, terminal equipment, Beidou and satellite internet application and other industry chain segments. By 2027, the scale of Beidou industrial applications in Pudong New Area will reach 10 billion yuan, with 50 companies gathered, and a number of specialized new and "small giant" enterprises will emerge.
