The fourth national survey of traditional Chinese medicine resources found 207 new species.

At the 7th Qihuang Forum of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine held today, officials from the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine introduced that by the end of 2024, China's fourth national survey of traditional Chinese medicine resources had collected over 3.1 million physical specimens and discovered 207 new species. Research shows that approximately 65% of these new species have potential medicinal value.
