On April 26, the important progress meeting of the "Archaeology China" major project was held in Chengdu, Sichuan, releasing the interim results of the archaeological investigation of the Shu Roads. The Shu Roads not only served as a major transportation route between the central region of ancient China and the Ba-Shu region, but also represent the outstanding features of linear cultural heritage that demonstrate the continuity, innovation, and unity of Chinese civilization. Through systematic investigation of the archaeological information along the Shu Roads, the basic information of 6 well-preserved sections of the main routes of the Shu Roads has been preliminarily grasped, forming the most accurate "Shu Roads data" to date. At this stage, a total of 2073 kilometers of the Shu Roads have been surveyed, with 1034 archaeological sites of various types discovered along the routes, including 297 newly discovered archaeological sites.
