Wang Yi meets with Tajikistan Foreign Minister Mukhriddin

On April 25th local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Tajikistan's Foreign Minister Muhriddin in Almaty. Wang Yi said that in July last year, President Xi Jinping made a landmark state visit to Tajikistan, during which he and President Rahmon jointly announced the upgrading of China-Tajikistan relations to a new era of comprehensive strategic partnership, opening a new chapter in the history of building a community with a shared future for China and Tajikistan at a higher level. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Tajikistan comprehensive cooperation has continuously achieved positive results. China firmly supports Tajikistan in following a development path that suits its national conditions, resolutely opposes any external interference in Tajikistan's internal affairs, and will solidly implement the spirit and arrangements of the Central Committee's work conference on neighboring countries, further strengthen strategic mutual trust, deepen development integration, expand friendly exchanges with Tajikistan, and help each other achieve modernization, prosperity, and revitalization.
