Guangxi launches pilot construction of 10 gigabit optical network.

At the final awards ceremony of the 3rd "Guanghua Cup" Gigabit Optical Network Application Innovation Competition and Gigabit Optical Network Application Innovation Conference, Deputy Director of the Information and Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Zhao Ce emphasized the need to continue strengthening the high-level construction and application of new information infrastructure such as gigabit optical networks. He proposed the following suggestions: first, to increase the thickness of the network infrastructure base; second, to explore the depth of digital integration applications; third, to enhance technological and industrial innovation; and fourth, to expand the breadth of ecological development. At the conference, Guangxi launched a pilot project for a 10-gigabit optical network, focusing on six major scenarios: residential areas, factories, industrial parks, campuses, commercial districts, and hospitals. They will innovate the implementation of the "one focus, two multiple, three leading" policy, and will comprehensively carry out pilot projects for 10-gigabit optical networks in all 14 cities in the region.
