The China Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo won the gold award for best exhibit in a large self-built pavilion.

On the evening of October 12th, the China Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo was awarded the Gold Award in the Large Self-built Pavilion Display category at the World Expo Awards ceremony. This is the first time that China has won a gold medal at a comprehensive World Expo overseas, and it is also the fifth consecutive time that the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has won important awards at World Expos since representing the Chinese government in organizing the Chinese Pavilion at overseas World Expos since 1982.
