According to foreign media reports, Goldman Sachs and Apollo Global Management are in talks with Wall Street investors to begin selling portions of an approximately $40 billion chip financing deal provided for SpaceX. This comes as the AI industry boom faces turbulence following a sweeping victory by U.S. Democrats in the midterm elections. People familiar with the matter said the two firms have begun approaching potential buyers for the multi-tranche financing. SpaceX said the deal is structured so that the debt does not enter SpaceX's balance sheet, and it is the largest GPU financing arrangement of its kind on record. People familiar with the matter said that before the formal syndication and distribution process begins, some investors have been invited to subscribe in advance for portions of up to $500 million, a move aimed at accelerating the closing of the deal. Formal syndication and distribution is expected to begin soon. The three parties did not respond to the matter.
