Beijing Key Laboratory of High-Speed Optical Interconnection and Computing Technology Established in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area

According to the "Beijing Yizhuang" WeChat official account, the 2026 Beijing Microelectronics International Symposium and IC WORLD ConferenceOptoelectronic Integration Frontier Technology Special Forum was recently held in Beijing Yizhuang. At the event, the Beijing Key Laboratory of High-Speed Optical Interconnection and Computing Technology was unveiled and established, adding another municipal-level key laboratory to Beijing Yizhuang's integrated circuit sector. The newly unveiled Beijing Key Laboratory of High-Speed Optical Interconnection and Computing Technology is jointly built by Northern Integrated Circuit Technology Innovation Center Co., Ltd., Beijing Haiguang Xincheng Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., Qiming Photonics Technology Co., Ltd., and Peking University, and has been officially awarded the designation by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee. The laboratory will focus on three core technology directions: heterogeneous integrated silicon photonic chips, on-chip dense wavelength division multiplexing, and advanced silicon photonic packaging, building a full-chain R&D system spanning "deviceschipssystemspackaging."
