Energy prices surge sharply, Europe's heating season faces a test

Recently, gasoline and diesel prices have risen sharply in many European countries. Recent statistics released by Eurostat show that in August, prices of motor gasoline, diesel and lubricants in the EU continued their previous upward trend. The statistics show that from June to August this year, prices of motor gasoline, diesel and lubricants in the EU all maintained an upward trend, rising by 13.7%, 16.9% and 23.8% year-on-year respectively. Entering September, the upward trend in fuel prices has not weakened. Diesel prices in Germany and France exceeded 2.4 euros per liter, while 95-octane gasoline prices in countries such as Greece and Portugal approached 2.2 euros per liter.
