The National Development and Reform Commission has allocated 30 million yuan to support post-disaster emergency recovery in Hainan following severe rainstorms and flooding.
Recently, due to the impact of continuous heavy rainfall, flooding disasters have occurred in multiple areas of Hainan Province. On September 15, the National Committee for Disaster Prevention, Reduction, and Relief and the Ministry of Emergency Management activated a Level IV national disaster relief emergency response. To implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on flood prevention and disaster relief work, and in accordance with the National Natural Disaster Relief Emergency Plan and the disaster loss situation in Hainan Province, the National Development and Reform Commission urgently allocated 30 million yuan from the central budget investment to support Hainan Province in carrying out post-disaster emergency recovery from rainstorm and flood disasters. The funds will be focused on post-disaster emergency recovery construction of damaged roads, water conservancy, and other infrastructure, as well as public service facilities such as schools and hospitals in the disaster-affected areas, to promote the rapid restoration of normal production and living order.
