On September 13, the National Healthcare Security Administration published an article titled "Cases of Commercial Bribery in Pharmaceutical Purchasing and Sales Involving Medical Institutions," noting that in the second half of 2025 alone, the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University was involved in 9 judicial criminal judgments. Staff at the hospital accepted commercial bribes 46 times, with the largest single case involving 16.58 million yuan, the longest duration reaching 11 years, and cumulative amounts involved totaling 184 million yuan. On September 14, a person in charge at the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University said that the hospital had taken note of the relevant notice and was cooperating with the relevant regulatory authorities in carrying out its work.
