A humanoid robot capable of carrying 50-kilogram objects has been introduced by a Hong Kong technology company as a "productivity tool."
The new generation industrial-grade humanoid robot "Xiao Rui G3" was launched in Hong Kong on the 17th. This robot is designed to match the manual labor capabilities of adults and can handle tasks such as heavy load transportation, material transfer, and precision operations, demonstrating industrial value.
According to reports, the "Xiao Rui G3" relies on the all-stack independently developed technology from Hong Kong company Jiuguang Technology. The product is equipped with a self-developed AI brain and a precise force control system throughout its body, breaking through the operational bottlenecks of traditional smart devices, enhancing environmental adaptability and operational stability, and suitable for various industrial working scenarios.
During a demonstration at the launch event, reporters observed that the "Xiao Rui G3" responded to voice commands and smoothly completed tasks such as transporting and placing a 50-kilogram barbell, with fluid movements and stable postures throughout. Hong Bingxiu, CEO of Hong Kong Science Park, expressed great pleasure in witnessing the new achievements of local technology companies in the field of embodied intelligence and humanoid robots. As an important carrier of embodied intelligence, humanoid robots represent a cutting-edge arena of interdisciplinary integration among artificial intelligence, new materials, and more. Moreover, they are a key direction for cultivating new productive forces and driving new industrialization. He looks forward to Jiuguang leveraging Hong Kong's advantages under the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's complete industrial chain to promote humanoid robots out of the laboratory and into large-scale, commercial applications.
