A case of local West Nile virus infection reported in the Netherlands.

On the 17th, the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment reported that the West Nile virus was recently detected in the blood of a blood donor, marking the country's first confirmed case of locally transmitted infection since 2020.
