In the first seven months of this year, the total number of visitors was approximately 31.22 million, representing an 11% year-on-year increase. In July, several major international exhibitions and events were held in Hong Kong, providing support for the growth of certain source markets. In July, the number of non-Mainland visitors was approximately 897,000, an increase of 2% year-on-year. The Hong Kong Tourism Board stated that in the second half of the year, they will launch a variety of major events covering multiple fields such as sports and cuisine, including the "Hong Kong Bicycle Festival" and the "Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival," to attract travelers to visit Hong Kong with rich experiences. In addition, the board will collaborate with the industry to launch diverse promotional activities to encourage tourists to explore Hong Kong in depth, extend their stay, and further boost tourism-related consumption.
