Saudi Arabia emulates the UAE by expanding its offshore crude oil transshipment, planning to sell medium and heavy crude oil from offshore Oman.

According to the Zhitong Financial APP, Saudi Arabia is seeking to sell crude oil from offshore Oman to buyers, indicating that as shipping through the Strait of Hormuz continues to be disrupted, Saudi Arabia may be emulating the UAE by exporting more crude oil out of the Persian Gulf through methods such as ship-to-ship transfers in order to maintain export supply.
