Ideal Automotive is reported to possibly develop its own cloud inference chip.
Recently, there have been reports that Li Auto is exploring the development of its own cloud-based inference chips, with the project still in its early stages. It may adopt a data flow architecture similar to that of its on-vehicle smart driving chips. In response, Li Auto stated, We have not heard any news in this regard for now. Industry insiders believe that as large models for intelligent driving, on-board intelligent agents, and multimodal interaction features continue to evolve, the demand for cloud-based inference behind smart vehicles will keep growing. In the future, competition among automotive companies regarding intelligence may depend not only on the computing power available in the vehicles but also on whether they can establish a cloud AI infrastructure that supports continual model iteration, low-cost invocation, and scalable delivery.
