Chongqing issued an "Orange Warning Signal for Forest and Grassland Fire Hazard."

On August 16 at 14:30, the Chongqing Municipal Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Command Center, Chongqing Emergency Management Bureau, Chongqing Forestry Bureau, and Chongqing Meteorological Bureau jointly issued an "Orange Warning Signal for Forest and Grassland Fire Hazard." The following 32 districts and counties in Chongqing have experienced high forest and grassland fire meteorological ratings: Liangjiang New Area, Dadukou, Shapingba, Jiulongpo, Nan'an, Beibei, Banan, High-tech Zone, Tongnan, Hechuan, Tongliang, Dazhu, Rongchang, Yongchuan, Bishan, Jiangjin, Qijiang, Wansheng, Nanchuan, Changshou, Fuling, Dianjiang, Fengdu, Liangping, Zhongxian, Wanzhou, Kaizhou, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wuxi, Wushan, and Wulong. It is expected that from August 16 to 20, the aforementioned districts and counties will continue to experience high or very high forest and grassland fire meteorological ratings, leading to a high risk of forest and grassland fires.
