Temasek appoints new director, former Singapore civil service chief Ye Chengchang joins.

On August 14, Temasek Holdings announced that former head of the Singapore Civil Service, Peter Ong, will join the board of directors starting August 15. Temasek stated that Ong has 43 years of public service experience and has served as head of the Singapore Civil Service and Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office since 2017. He retired from the Singapore Administrative Service in April this year. The chairman of Temasek remarked that Ong has extensive experience in areas such as security, workforce, economy, and national policy, which will provide important support to the board.
