China's collaborative electric aircraft carrier has arrived, and green electricity can generate AI-generated video content in 30 seconds.
In the depths of the grasslands of Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, China's computing and electricity collaboration "aircraft carrier" is forging ahead. The world's largest single smart computing centerthe Ulanqab Xinghe Basehas started operations. It covers an area the size of 20 football fields, has a power supply capacity of 160 megawatts, and boasts a parallel processing capability of millions of tokens and a computing power scale in the millions, with an 80% direct supply ratio of green electricity, thus opening up new opportunities for the industry. By building its own wind farms and dedicated lines for direct supply, and utilizing AI power systems and energy storage facilities, each kilowatt of green electricity is converted into tokens of computation, achieving a closed-loop system. Calculations indicate that one kilowatt of green electricity from the grasslands can be converted here into nearly 30 seconds of AI-generated video. A billion-level industrial chain is rapidly taking shape: upstream investments are driving wind, solar, energy storage equipment, liquid cooling systems, and power transmission lines; midstream is promoting breakthroughs in AI power systems and virtual plants; downstream is nurturing domains such as AI large model training, AI-generated video, and AI code writing. Currently, China's wind and solar power, as well as power grid technology, are globally leading, and the pace of domestic computing power is accelerating. With the empowerment of a dual market, China's electricity consumption for computing power is expected to reach 800 billion kilowatt-hours by 2030, along with a massive domestic market driven by AI applications, providing "broad waters" for the "aircraft carrier" to navigate.
