In the modern agricultural park for corn seed industry in Xichang, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, Zhang had in-depth discussions with researchers on corn seed production in hot regions. At the Chongqing Academy of Animal Husbandry, he listened to introductions on innovations in pig breeding and feed nutrition research, encouraging researchers to leverage their strengths, focus on key varieties for in-depth basic research, and strengthen the R&D and promotion of core technologies around regional industrial needs, applying the results practically.
