In the first seven months, Sichuan's foreign trade import and export grew by 4% year-on-year, reaching a historic high for the same period.
According to Chengdu Customs, in the first seven months of this year, the total value of goods trade in Sichuan reached 626.06 billion yuan, setting a historical high for the same period and ranking ninth in the country and first in the western region, with a year-on-year growth of 4%. Among this, exports were 343.92 billion yuan, a decrease of 5.5% year-on-year; imports were 282.14 billion yuan, an increase of 18.4%. The proportion of general trade has increased, and bonded logistics have grown rapidly. In the first seven months, Sichuan's general trade import and export amounted to 246.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.2%, accounting for 39.4% of the province's total foreign trade value, an increase of 6.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year; bonded logistics imports and exports reached 90.56 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 20%, making up 14.5% of the province's total foreign trade value.
