The national power load hit a record high for the fourth time, with 78 instances of new highs across 25 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities.

According to the National Energy Administration, on August 7, the national electricity load reached a historical high for the fourth time since the beginning of summer, hitting 1.557 billion kilowatts, an increase of approximately 4.8 million kilowatts from the previous record. Since July 29, the national electricity load has remained at a high level, with daily maximum loads exceeding last year's peak of 1.508 billion kilowatts, and the peak load exhibiting a notably "platform-like" characteristic. This year, nationwide electricity demand has maintained a robust growth trend. The regional power grids in North China, Northeast China, East China, and other regions have set 21 historical highs, while 25 provinces including Beijing, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Gansu have collectively reached new high electricity loads 78 times.
