A fire broke out in the auxiliary buildings of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan.

According to Tokyo Electric Power Company, around 15:35 local time on the 8th, the fire alarms on the 3rd and 4th floors of the service building for units 5 and 6 at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant were activated. Tokyo Electric Power Company reported the incident to the Futaba Fire Department at 16:01 the same day. Subsequently, the fire department rushed to the scene for confirmation, but no open flames or smoke were found. The incident did not affect the equipment in the nuclear power plant area, and no abnormalities were detected in the radiation levels measured by monitoring points and dust monitoring devices at the plant boundary.
