The impact of Typhoon "Baihudun" on our country has become a certainty, and it will soon enter the 48-hour typhoon warning zone.
A night has passed, and Typhoon "Bai Dolphin" maintains its strength as a strong typhoon, with maximum winds near the center reaching level 14. Currently, the cloud structure of "Bai Dolphin" remains intact; however, affected by the intrusion of dry air, there is slight asymmetry in the outer spiral cloud bands, with more pronounced convection on the northern side, giving a feeling of "top-heavy." According to the latest forecasts, "Bai Dolphin" is headed directly for the eastern coastal area of China. Although there is still considerable uncertainty regarding its later path, its impact on China has become a certainty. Thus, "Bai Dolphin" is about to become the easternmost typhoon to make landfall in China since 1951, breaking the record previously held by Typhoon "Mangkhut" No. 1822. "Bai Dolphin" will move west-northwest at a speed of 15 to 20 kilometers per hour, with little change in strength. It will enter the 48-hour typhoon warning zone starting tonight and will pass through the Ryukyu Islands during the day tomorrow before moving into the East China Sea, gradually approaching the eastern coast of China.
