Amid the high risks of the Strait of Hormuz, the UAE continues to export large amounts of crude oil.

According to Kpler, the supertanker Romania Prosperity turned off its transponder in late July and appeared in the Gulf of Oman, carrying crude oil from the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. This is one of the dozens of oil shipments exported by the state-owned producer from the Persian Gulf. Since early June, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has sold over 130 million barrels of crude oil through an unprecedented seven tenders, which is equivalent to more than a months crude oil demand of Japan, the third-largest crude oil consumer in Asia. The UAE has been very successful in exporting crude oil from the Persian Gulf, and according to Vortexa, it is the only oil-producing country in the Middle East to have restored its maritime export levels to pre-war amounts in June and July.
