The Songhua River experienced its first flood of 2026.

On August 2, the Ministry of Water Resources announced that due to rainfall, at 3:54 AM on the 2nd, the water level at the Songhua River Jiamusi hydrological station rose to 79.49 meters. According to the flood numbering regulations for major rivers, this flood is designated as "Songhua River No. 1 Flood of 2026." Currently, three working groups from the Ministry of Water Resources are assisting and guiding in flood defense efforts in Heilongjiang Province.
