In the first half of the year, the main financial markets in Shanghai achieved a year-on-year increase in trading volume of 24.1%.
According to the Shanghai release, in the first half of the year, the total trading volume of the city's major financial markets reached 226.916 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.1%. Among them, the trading volume of the Shanghai Futures Exchange increased by 53.9% year-on-year, the trading volume of the Shanghai Gold Exchange increased by 38.2%, the trading volume of securities in the Shanghai Stock Exchange increased by 35.2%, and the trading volume in the interbank market increased by 16.6%. At the end of June, the balance of domestic and foreign currency deposits of financial institutions in the city was 25.40 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%; the balance of loans was 13.60 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.9%. In the first half of the year, the local general public budget revenue in the city was 494.333 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%; the local general public budget expenditure was 530.214 billion yuan, an increase of 10.7%.
