British Prime Minister-elect Burnham's team reportedly disagrees on the appointment of the finance minister, and there is a cooling of calls for Miliband.
There is disagreement within Andy Burnham's advisory team, who is expected to become the Prime Minister of the UK, on the appointment of the Chancellor of the Exchequer. As he is expected to become Prime Minister in less than a week, internal rifts are beginning to surface. While many of Burnham's supporters within the Labour Party's left-wing camp originally expected him to appoint Energy Secretary Ed Miliband as Chancellor of the Exchequer, others in the team strongly oppose this appointment. Sources say that the latter faction is increasingly convinced that former Labour leader Miliband will not be given the position of Chancellor of the Exchequer.
