Tianjin Radio and Television's 5G network suddenly went down, official apologies: Damage to fiber optic cables has been fully restored.
On July 14th, China Broadcasting 5G officially issued an apology notice through its official public account, providing a detailed explanation of the large-scale network service anomaly that occurred in the Tianjin region the previous day. The notice revealed that on the afternoon of July 13th, there was a sudden abnormality in some of the China Broadcasting 5G services in Tianjin, and after an emergency investigation, the root cause of the fault was identified as damage to the main optical cable. The technical team worked overnight to repair the fault, and by the afternoon of the same day, all related services had been fully restored to normal. China Broadcasting explicitly expressed apologies in the apology letter to all users affected by the fault, and stated that they will continue to optimize the network operation mechanism, strengthen the protection capability of the main backbone line, comprehensively improve network stability and user service experience. They also expressed gratitude for the understanding and tolerance of the majority of users.
