According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to June, the total real estate development investment in the country was 3.8074 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18.0%; of which, residential investment was 2.93 trillion yuan, a decrease of 17.8%. From January to June, the construction area of buildings by real estate development enterprises was 554.049 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 12.5%. Among them, the construction area of residential buildings was 384.453 million square meters, a decrease of 12.9%. The newly started construction area of buildings was 23.239 million square meters, a decrease of 23.4%. Among them, the newly started construction area of residential buildings was 16.9 million square meters, a decrease of 24.1%. The completed construction area of buildings was 17.221 million square meters, a decrease of 23.7%. Among them, the completed construction area of residential buildings was 12.148 million square meters, a decrease of 25.3%.
