The State Council's Work Safety Committee has set up a special team to oversee the investigation and handling of the major fire accident that occurred in Quanzhou, Fujian on July 9th.

On July 9th, a major fire occurred in a shoe factory in Chendai Town, Jinjiang City, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, causing 28 deaths. The State Council's Work Safety Commission decided to supervise and handle the major fire incident and dispatched an on-site supervision group led by the National Fire and Rescue Bureau to supervise and guide Fujian Province in conducting the investigation and handling work. Fujian Province was required to organize and conduct the investigation in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and rules, to quickly determine the cause and management reasons for the fire, accurately determine the nature of the fire, investigate the responsibility, and seriously propose handling suggestions and rectification measures.
