On July 10, 2026, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Panama, Zhang Xiangyan, presented a copy of his credentials to the Panamanian Foreign Minister, Martnez Ach. Ambassador Zhang expressed his honor in being appointed as the Chinese Ambassador to Panama by President Xi Jinping. Over the past 9 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Panama, fruitful cooperation in various fields has benefited the people of both countries.
