Zhejiang upgrades its typhoon emergency response to level III.

According to Zhejiang Province's announcement, Typhoon "Bavi" is currently located in the ocean southeast of Keelung City, Taiwan, about 1010 kilometers away, with maximum wind speeds near the center reaching level 15. It is expected that "Bavi" will move in a north-northwesterly direction at a speed of about 20-25 kilometers per hour, gradually approaching the northeast coast of Taiwan, then moving towards the central part of Fujian and the southern coast of Zhejiang, and is forecasted to make landfall along the coast from Fuqing, Fujian to Wenling, Zhejiang on the evening of the 11th. Due to the impact of "Bavi," the wind force in the southern part of the East China Sea will increase to 11-14 levels during the day on the 10th, and may reach 15-16 levels in some areas of the southern part of the East China Sea from night on the 10th to the 11th. According to the "Zhejiang Province Flood Control, Typhoon Defense, and Drought Relief Emergency Plan" and the defense work plan for Typhoon "Bavi," after consultation and analysis, the Zhejiang Province Flood Control Command decided to elevate the emergency response level to level III at 21:00 on July 9th.
