In response to Typhoon "Bavi," the Ministry of Natural Resources has initiated a level III geological disaster defense response in Zhejiang and Fujian provinces.
According to the meteorological department's forecast, due to the impact of Typhoon "Bavi", some areas in southern Zhejiang, northeastern Fujian, and other regions will experience accumulated rainfall of 150~300 millimeters from July 10th to 13th, while localized areas in southeastern Zhejiang and northeastern Fujian may see 500~600 millimeters of rainfall. The Geological Hazard Prevention and Control Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has organized experts to assess the situation, and the risk of geological disasters in the above-mentioned areas is high due to the rainfall from the typhoon. The Ministry of Natural Resources has activated a Level III response for geological disaster prevention in Zhejiang and Fujian on July 9th at 19:00, and has sent work teams to guide and assist in disaster prevention efforts on-site in Zhejiang and Fujian.
