An American judge has ordered a long-term halt to the "de-militarization" fund, asking the government to provide written assurance of "complete abolition."

A federal judge in Virginia issued a longer injunction, blocking the US Department of Justice from establishing an "anti-weaponization fund". Judge Leonie Brinkema stated that she needs written assurances from the Department of Justice and the Treasury Department confirming that the fund has been completely shelved. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche previously testified in Congress that the Department of Justice has no intention of restarting the fund program.
